Here you have Delfina Cheb's new album:

Buenos Aires. An album of classic tangos recorded in just two days along with the Horacio Avilano's quartet, right in the album’s christening city. In a market full of digital and overproduced music, this young Argentinean artist has chosen to record a classic and rootsy album while conferring it a totally fresh sound. Accompanied, just as in the old days, by an Argentine guitar quartet, brilliant Horacio Avilano’s, she features in it some century-old tangos, hence turning their "oldish" way into a new trend.
Javier Limón himself, producer of Lágrimas Negras and some of the best Buika's albums, encouraged Delfina Cheb to recover these magical sonorities of the past.
Actually, using a most authentic and genuine recording technique and thanks to the emotion of her singing and Delfina Cheb the freshness of her very personal phrasing, this album, that only contains real takes, was recorded in only two days, leading this unquestionable repertoire to a new level of reinterpreting tango.

At 18 years old, Delfina Cheb was awarded a scholarship to get her double degree in Jazz composition and Voice performance at Berklee College of Music. There, she explored jazz and folkloric music from different regions such as South America, North America and the Balkans. She studied with Kenny Werner, Kurt Elling, Dominique Eade and Toninho Horta.

Now she is getting her masters degree in contemporary improvisation at the New England Conservatory
